Family Pharmacy and Family Pharmacy-South Aiken are 2 stores, but 1 operation. A family-owned and operated full-service pharmacy group located in Aiken, South Carolina. Family Pharmacy-Downtown is a full service retail pharmacy, while Family Pharmacy-South Aiken is a true hybrid pharmacy with dedicated team members for both retail prescriptions and compounded medications.

Brandi Johnson, PharmD

Family Pharmacy-South Aiken

Brandi Johnson graduated from the University of South Carolina with her doctorate in pharmacy in May of 2009.

She has worked in the family owned pharmacy since she was in high school and has worked in the pharmacy who entire pharmacy career. In 2017,she became a partner in the business and in 2023 she became sole owner. Brandi specializes in traditional pharmacy as well as compounding. She has a particular interest in helping patients with hormone restoration therapy and maintaining healthy lifestyles. Brandi enjoys running and cooking in her time away from the pharmacy. She is married and has two beautiful daughters, Alexandria and Charley Rose.

Emily Russell, PharmD

Pharmacist-in-Charge Family Pharmacy-Downtown

Emily Russell graduated from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine School of Pharmacy in 2014 and completed a one-year community pharmacy residency in Augusta, GA upon graduation.

Emily enjoys working in the retail setting but also takes special interest in various areas including medication therapy management, smoking cessation, and diabetes education. Emily enjoys running, hiking, and spending time with her husband, son Asher, and two pups in her spare time.

Tracie Mims, PharmD

Compounding Specialist

Tracie Mims graduated from University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy in 1998 with a PharmD and in 1997 with a BS in Pharmacy.

Tracie has worked the past 19+ years as a Pharmacist at Family Pharmacy and Aiken Compounding Pharmacy. She is Certified in Immunization Delivery and also attended an Advanced Compounding Certification Class at University of Florida.

Thayra Rios Schad graduated from the University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy in 2022. Thayra completed a PHY-1 Community-Based Residency Program with Medicine Mart of West Columbia. Tharya takes special interest in patient care, patient outcomes, and clinical programs.
